We will need to see a ticket for every young person upon entry. Young people will
need to bring a phone or print out of their ticket showing the QR code.

Arrival Information
Please don’t start queuing or arrive at the venue before 6:35pm

To make the event safe for everyone, there are restrictions on what can be brought into the venue. Each person can only bring in one small bag (small cross body bags only no backpacks). All items and bags brought into the venue will be carefully inspected by security personnel when entering the venue.


Please note: this means the overall bag size. Bags that are half full and folded over to reduce their size will not be accepted.


Water bottles and other drinks will not be permitted to bring into the venue. Our team will provide water at the refreshment points in the venue.

Event Details

Free Parents Area

There will be a free Parents Area in a separate part of the venue via a different
entrance to the crypt/basement on Belgrave Road.

 

This is for parents/guardians who
wish to stay at the venue to wait whilst the event is on.

 

There will be a live video link from the gig onto screens in this area and free tea & coffee available during the gig.


Tickets for this area can be found through purchasing a young person’s ticket.


There is no fee required for an accompanying adult but due to capacity of the
building we are ticketing the parent/carer area for safety reasons.

 

If parent area tickets have sold out and your young person cannot attend without an accompanying adult, please contact yandc@mullers.org.

Transport

Parking

Woodlands Church does not have a designated car park.

 

There is a Multistorey Car Park a short walk away as well as ample on street parking nearby.  There is street parking on
Belgrave road, Tyndall’s Park Road, West Park, Cotham Road, Oakfield Road, Elmdale Road, Priory Road, St Pauls Road.

We are asking that people coming by car drop off and pick up on Tyndall’s Park Road, Belgrave Road or Oakfield Road and park elsewhere.

Buses
The nearest bus stop is called Belgrave Road on Whiteladies Road
 

Bike Racks
There are several bike racks at the front of Woodlands Church. Bikes left there will be
left at owners own risk.

Safety

As part of the Illuminate Week in Bristol, we are committed to your child's safety. ​The Illuminate Tour in Bristol is in conjunction with The George Müller Charitable Trust & churches in Bristol. We ensure that our end of week gigs are as safe as possible. The highest level of care is taken before, during and after the event. As well as our trained team, there will be professional security, local youth workers and teachers will be present at the gig, to ensure your child's safety. Our gigs are drug and alcohol free. ​ It is important to know that we cannot take responsibility for your child's wellbeing when they are not in the venue, so please ensure you know where they are during the times either side. Doors open at 6:45pm and the gig ends at 9:00pm. Any time before or after this we cannot be responsible for your child.

What is Illuminate?

The Illuminate Tour is a nationwide schools tour, partnering with the local schools and churches, focusing on raising aspirations in young people and inspiring them by faith to live their lives on purpose.

 

As a part of this nationwide tour, Illuminate artists are visiting schools to take lessons and assemblies, followed by an end of week gig at a local venue.

There will be an inspirational Christian message on the night of the gig.

Photos/ Video

At the event, there will be professional photographers/ videographers to capture the gig. This footage/ photos will be used online and may be used in the future for advertisement.

Due to the nature of the event, by attending, you agree to be filmed/ photographed & give permission to be used in future promotion.

Is this connected to my child's school?

Throughout the week of the 13th - 17th October, we will be in schools all across Bristol. Partnering with your child's local school & with Churches in Bristol to make it happen.
